I was hired by the Shadbolt Center For the Arts to do a public demonstration + instruction for the public for their celebration of the Chinese New Year. This is what I came up with: PAINT A PUPPY using Chinese ink and brush.
Brushes and mixing palettes are in place.
Soundchecks on the headset and mic is done. We are ready to go!
Two sessions with kids and kids at heart, bringing their enthusiasm and curiosity to the table.
It was such a great turn out! More and more people came and we almost ran out of space!
Burnaby Now also dropped by and featured us on their webiste! Yeah!
Here are some close up shots of the works on display:
Shadbolt:
"Hi Broderick
You did a fabulous job for us at the Art on the Spot. The extensive preparation you did for the activity paid off with the students taking away an artwork they were proud of.
Comment from a participant “I hung my watercolour in my office and have already got so many compliments on it. Everyone around us had such a good time. The instructors were very helpful.”
